Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®
Fertility Massage - Arvigo Therapy
The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® are founded on the ancient Mayan technique of abdominal massage. It is a non-invasive, external massage technique that is used to guide abdominal organs back into their proper position for optimal health and well being. Arvigo Therapy helps to relieve congestion and any blockages that are restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve and chi.
Origins of Arvigo Therapy
Dr. Rosita Arvigo, Naprapathic Physician, developed these techniques based on her 30 years of experience in massage, naprapathy, herbology and spiritual healing. She was taught a form of Maya Abdominal massage by her mentor, the last Maya Shaman in Belize, Don Elijio Panti, with whom she apprenticed for 10 years. Arvigo Therapy is a modality that incorporates a holistic approach to health - body, emotional and spiritual healing. Maya Abdominal massage practitioners believe that with any natural healing technique, these areas must be simultaneously addressed to promote optimal health.
Maya abdominal massage has become very popular for it's effectiveness in treating fertility challenges (in both men and women), menstrual cramping and pain, and urinary incontinence (although it helps with many other things as well). Midwives and healers of Central American agree that most female troubles are caused by a "wandering womb."
“The uterus is the women’s center. If her uterus is not in proper
position and good health, nothing in her life will be right.
She will be as out of balance as her uterus.”
-Don Elijio Panti, teacher to Rosita Arvigo
Maya Abdominal Therapy also incorporates castor oil packs as well as herbal vaginal steams for fertility. Want to know more about these?
